Angelica, David and Jennifer began band this month. This is David's 2nd year playing the trumpet, Angelica is beginning her 1st year of playing the flute and Jennifer will be learning to play the clarinet. We will have our own little band! All three are also continuing with their piano lessons and we will have a lot of practicing going on in our home this fall! = - ) Matthew is beginning to learn the notes on the piano, but right now his favorite activity is reading The Berenstain Bear books - we read at least 3 or 4 Berenstain books a day and thankfully we have a lot of them!

Angelica and Jennifer ended their volleyball season with a championship trophy! The team played a great game!

Cheerleading season is now in full-swing and next month they will be in a cheerleading competition.

The Football Showcase was on Saturday night and we all had a fun time. David's team came home with a victory, we enjoyed the patriotic half-time show and the girls goofed around with their friends!

Our church Fall Festival (Wild West style) was today (10/27) and we had a festive time.

Our family helped with the Goldfish booth and we even came home with 3 new family members! Our first "grandfish!" From left to right: Rose (because she has lipstick on), Violet (because she is pretty) and Michael (because he is the biggest). = - )

It's pumpkin carving time! The kids' drew the faces and Dad helped with the carving and now the pumpkins are entered into the "pumpkin carving contest" at school. Matthew has his first real bike and he's been having a great time learning to ride it! Today we are getting ready for the first rain storm of the season - as you can see, the girls are dressed for a cool, rainy day and David is wearing his traditional shorts!

Halloween 2001 - a full moon, cool weather and lots of candy! The Hubbard kids had a great time: Matthew was the crocodile hunter, Jennifer and Angelica went back to the 1950's and David was a Hawaiian surfer dude. We did a little trick-or-treating in our neighborhood with our neighbors and then we had to be home by 8:00 p.m. to be able to win a prize. David received the prize phone call this year and is $25.00 richer with his first prize award!!!!!!!!!
