This pretty lady
is a shining light on the 40's board and an inspiration to all of
us.
Her natural
sense of fun can bring a smile to all our faces.
Jo-Ann is the
proud mother of two lovely daughters. Katie and Kerri-Ann.

That beautiful
smile beaming out at you belongs to Kerri-Ann.
Kerri-Ann was in
a terrible car accident in April. At first the fear was that she
wouldn't make it through the night. A frantic Jo-Ann came on-line
to our 40's group in the middle of the night pleading for all of
us to pray for Kerri-Ann, and to please ask any and all we knew
to do the same.
Well, miracles
do happen. Kerri-Ann did make it through that night, and then
when told that she'd "never be the same" by the
Doctors, Kerri squeezed her mother's finger to let her know that
'she' was still 'in there'.
Every day the
progress continues. It will be a very long and very hard road
back to a full recovery, for both Kerri-Ann and her family and
loved ones.
Jo-Ann feels
sure that the hundreds of Cyber-strangers that have been praying
for Kerri have brought her this far.
With a long,
hard road before them, we ..Kerri's unmet Aunties and Uncles of
the 40's board, would like to ask you all to keep the owner of
this shining smile in your prayers.
We've helped to
make a miracle happen. We can't stop now...not until the recovery
is complete.
Until then,
please dear readers, we ask you to include Kerri-Ann in your
prayers and to keep her there.
Thanks so much.
Latest Update on
Kerri-Ann's Progress :
(9-11-98)
Hope everyone has a wonderful and restful
week-end. I'll pop in when and if the queen allows.
<bg> She's been doin slightly better and has
started to adjust pretty well to her new
surroundings. They're still decreasing her meds
slowly.....can't tell yet if it's made a difference. Gonna
have to put her on some kind of diet.....she doesn't fit into any
of her clothes.....she forgets that she's eaten so she insists
she's starving and eats again. LOL wonder if that would
work for me. <BG>

Kerri has been moved to the Traurig House, the independent
living center on the grounds of Gaylord. She was
terrified of the change and called me crying and begging to pick
her up. She even tried to tell me that if we tell
'them' we were going for a walk, we could just leave and
they wouldn't find out until it was too late. <s> We
visited last evening and she is adjusting well to the
change. It's more like living at home, and she has
much more freedom. I was very impressed with the
entire setup and the staff is fabulous. There
is room for the max of 8 patients and 4 staff.
She showed the staff all of her cards.....they couldn't believe
she has so many. As she receives new cards, she takes
down some older ones and replaces them. She keeps them in a
Hallmark gift bag and it's full !! Thanks, you guys are
great. (((((40's))))) Now that Kerri is in Traurig
House, she can come home every week-end. I'll be picking
her up later this afternoon. It's difficult having
her home, but something we look forward too
also.

It's happened! Kerri-Ann
posted to the board!!
To my
mothers friends, Thank you for thinking of me. It
was very thoughtful to think of me. The cards were
nice and very thoughtful and I appreciate them. Thank you
for thinking of me in that way. That's it.
