Felicity and Ben are at an outdoor flea market. Felicity is at a ring stand. She fingers a ring that says, "The Crow - Real Love Lasts". Felicity frowns and examines the ring because the word "Forever" is missing in the end. She gazes at the silver band and puts it on. It fits perfectly on her left ring finger. Ben gives money to the vendor before Felicity can protest. They walk on to a fountain and sit down.

"SUNSHOWER" BY CHRIS CORNELL PLAYS IN THE BACKGROUND.

"Dark as roses
Fine as sand
Feel your healing and your sting again
Hear you laughing and my soul is saved"

Ben: "Now you have a ring and a necklace from me."

Felicity touches the necklace she is wearing. Ben takes her hand and pulls the ring off. Ben looks at the inscription.

BEN: "I like the words. It means that love can last for however long it wants, but it's still there."

FELICITY IS ABOUT TO DISAGREE.

"Crawl like ivy
Up my spine
Through my nerves and into my eyes
Cuts like anguish
Or recollections
Of better days gone by"

BEN: "Just hear me out before you go off on me."

FELICITY SMILES AT THIS. BEN SLIPS THE RING ON HER LEFT RING FINGER.

BEN: "I want you to know Felicity that you are getting to me. I know you feel the same way with me also . . . but I don't want us to rush. That's all I've ever done is rush into relationships where I don't even care for the girl even have as much as I do about you."

"But it's all right
When you're caught in pain
And you feel the rain come down

Ben looks directly into Felicity's eyes. He leans in to kiss her on the cheek which lingers there as Felicity closes her eyes.

"It's all right
When you find your way
Then you see it disappear

FELICITY: (voiceover to Sally) "It's funny, Sal, how things turn out. And I thought I was the one who was going to slow things down."

BEFORE THE SCENE FADES WE SEE BEN CAPTURE FELICITY'S CHEEK INTO HIS PALM. THEY BOTH CLOSE THEIR EYES AS THEIR LIPS COME SLOWLY TOGETHER.

"It's all right
Though your gardens gray
I know all your graces
Someday will flower
In a sweet sunshower

FELICITY AND BEN ARE AT A TABLE IN A SIDEWALK CAFE. THERE IS A FORTUNE TELLER WITH ANOTHER COUPLE A FEW TABLES AWAY. FELICITY NOTICES HER FIRST.

FELICITY: "Do you believe in magic?"

BEN: "Like in little kid parties?"

FELICITY: "No, like magic and spells."

BEN SHAKES HIS HEAD EMPHASIZING HIS RESPONSE.

BEN: "No."

FELICITY: "No?"

BEN: "Why?"

FELICITY: "Because that day we did inventory, Meaghan put this spell on us. She put you and me together, and Noel and Julie together."

BEN: "That's why I don't believe in magic."

FELICITY: "But that was when we had our almost kiss moment."

FELICITY LOOKED AT BEN AND HER LIPS ACHED AT THE MEMORY.

BEN: "This happened way before that day. No one gets to me more than you, Felicity."

FELICITY: "Yeah, me too."

BEN LICKED HIS LIPS AND FELICITY SWALLOWS NERVOUSLY AT WHAT SHE KNOWS HE IS ABOUT TO DO AGAIN.

FORTUNE TELLER: "Do you want your palm read?"

FELICITY SNAPS OUT OF THEIR GAZE FIRST. BEN FOLLOWS LOOKING AS IF HE REGRETTED SOMETHING.

FELICITY: "Um, okay. How much?"

FORTUNE TELLER: "For you $19.99, okay?"

BEN STIFLES A LAUGH BECAUSE THE PRICE SOUNDS LIKE A BAD INFOMMERCIAL.

THE FORTUNE TELLER TAKES FELICITY'S HAND AND LOOKS AT THE LINES. THE FORTUNE TELLER GLANCES OVER AT BEN.

FORTUNE TELLER: "Is he a stranger to you?"

FELICITY: (voiceover to Sally) "So there it was the simple question. When I finally felt like Ben was truly starting to let me see him."

FELICITY: "No he isn't."

BEN SMILES A SMALL SMILE, AND LOOKS DOWN AT THE GROUND.

THE FORTUNE TELLER LOOKS INTO FELICITY'S HAND. A SMILE TUGS AT THE CORNER OF HER LIPS.

FORTUNE TELLER: (coos) "Oh!"

FELICITY: "What?"

FORTUNE TELLER: "You are an adventurer. A seeker. You are on a journey, yes?"

FELICITY: "Yes, I am."

FORTUNE TELLER: "You believe in love and its power, but you must know that love is far from the illusion of perfection. It is as real as pain and loss and worse. Treasure what you will find on this journey. Don't loose it reason why you came."

THE FORTUNE TELLER CLOSES FELICITY'S HAND. THE FORTUNE TELLER'S FINGERS COVER THE RING BEN BOUGHT FOR HER.

FORTUNE TELLER: You must resign yourself to the awkwardness of life. Only then will you find true connection with others."

THE FORTUNE TELLER LOOKS AT BEN. SHE INDICATES HIS HAND.

FORTUNE TELLER: "Would you like your read as well?"

BEN: "Yes."

THE FORTUNE TELLER TAKES BEN'S HAND AND LOOKS AT HIS PALM. HER FINGERS WANDER OVER THE LINES HIS HANDS HAVE. THE FORTUNE TELLER FROWNS A LITTLE."

BEN: "What?"

FORTUNE TELLER: "You have had so many examples of the flip side of love that it is all you see. Do not close yourself off from those who will let you see that there is more to love than what you have experienced . . . or you will loose it without realizing its importance. Don't let regret be the ultimate teacher. Let happiness be."

THE FORTUNE TELLER LETS GO OF BEN'S HAND AND LOOKS AT THE BOTH OF THEM SOLEMNLY.

FORTUNE TELLER: "Such a pity, so much you can teach each other; So much destiny."

WITH THAT SAID THE FORTUNE TELLER PAUSES AND SMILES.

FORTUNE TELLER: "But we shall see if there's a happy ending."

THE FORTUNE TELLER GIVES FELICITY AND BEN A PENNY EACH AFTER THEY GIVE HER THE FARE.

FORTUNE TELLER: "For good luck for wherever the heart may take you."

FELICITY AND BEN ARE WALKING DOWN THE STREET BOTH IT SEEMS DEEP IN THOUGHT. FELICITY IS THE ONE TO SPEAK FIRST. "STAY" BY LISA LOEB PLAYS IN THE BACKGROUND.

"You say I only hear what I want to.
And you say I talk so all the time-so.

FELICITY: "Are you as disturbed as I am about what that lady said?"

BEN: "It's disturbing to hear the truth."

FELICITY: (starts to get mad) "Excuse me?"

BEN: "You analyze everything until it barely exists and all you have left is a moment wasted when you could actually be living what you wanted. You hide behind your psycho babble when you are just as afraid to let go."

FELICITY: "Don't lecture me on being afraid. At least I step up to the plate. I don't freak out and run at the first chance of making an actual connection."

"And you say, I only hear what I want to:
I don't listen hard,
I don't play attention to the distance that you're running or to
Anyone, anywhere,"

BEN: "Do you see me running away now?"

FELICITY: "You aren't but I saw you when that fortune teller interrupted us. You looked like you were reconsidering all those words you said to me before."

BEN: "Felicity, people don't lay themselves all out for you in one day. It takes time to win my trust. I don't trust others as easily as you do."

I don't understand if you really care,
I'm only hearing negative: no, no, no - bad."

FELICITY: "I know you don't. I don't trust others as easily as you think I do, but all I'm asking is for you to give me a chance to see who you are and not the image of the man that you want everyone to see. I don't want that. I want you."

"So I turned the radio on, I turned the radio up,
And this woman was singing my song:
The lover's in love, and the other's run away,
The lover is crying cause the other won't stay

FELICITY PUTS HER HEAD IN HER HANDS AND COLLAPSES ON A CRATE NEAR THE STOP OF A DEAD END. BEN FOLLOWS FELICITY AND PUTS HIS ARM AROUND HER SHOULDERS. THEY BOTH SPEAK SOFTLY IN SUBDUED VOICES.

"Well this is not that:
I think that I am throwing, but I'm thrown."
And I'd thought I'd live forever, but now I'm not so sure.
You try to tell me that I'm clever, that won't take me
anyhow
Or anywhere with you."

FELICITY: When I was young I couldn't wait to fall in love. That it would be the kind of stuff you'd see in fairytales . . . but they never showed whatever happened after happily ever after."

BEN: "There is no such thing as happily ever after. There's just life and how the both of you live with it together or not."

FELICITY: "People do last. I see it in old people and my parents, and I look at them with so much envy and think I wish I had what they have."

BEN: "I never really saw it. I think my parents stayed with each other because . . . well I don't think my mom knows herself as anything else and my dad just an asshole. Then I meet this girl named Hope. It seems so long ago, but I was only 16. She was the first and only person that I gave myself to completely. I didn't have the 'defenses' I have built up now. I didn't have any of the things that you feel are pushing you away from me. For that For that time in my life I felt like someone who brought out in me the best. But then jealously broke us apart. She was accusing me of going behind her back . . . when the truth was she was the only relationship I had that I stayed faithful too."

Ben stops and stares at a blank space on the brick wall. Felicity stays silent because Ben is reliving memories he has tried so hard not to resurface.

BEN: "Finally one day we were at a party and one of my really good friends, who happened to be a girl, needed to talk to me because her boyfriend just dumped her for someone else. Hope saw us go in one of the bedrooms together. I'll admit it must have bed from her point of view because we were at a party drinking and whatever and then you see two people go inside a bedroom.

FLASHBACK:

HOPE: "What was that all about?"

BEN: "What?"

HOPE: "Don't act like I don't have any idea what was going on. You and Beth were in that bedroom for awhile."

BEN: "We weren't doing what you thought we were doing."

HOPE: "And what did you imagine I was thinking of?"

BEN: "We were not kissing or anything past that?"

HOPE: "Like hell you were!"

BEN: "Dammit Hope why can't trust me!"

HOPE: "Then what were you doing in there if you weren't doing whatever."

BEN: "We were talking. Andrew dumped her for someone else and she came to me for support."

HOPE: "How sweet. I'm sure that's what she got."

BEN: "Why do you have to be such a bitch. Would you have rather see us leave the party to get some privacy?"

"I thougtht that I was strong.
I thought, "hey, I can leave, I can leave.
But now I know that I was wrong"

HOPE: "I don't want to say anything about that to you. You know this isn't working out anymore for us. I don't need all this aggravation. Why don't we separate right now."

BEN: "Maybe we should. It's like I don't even know who you are anymore and what I see I don't want."

HOPE: "Fine then."

Hope suddenly breaks down crying inside the bedroom where moments before Ben was comforting Beth.

"You said, "You caught me cause you want me
And one day I'll let you go.'"

HOPE: "I'm sorry I'm trippin like this. It's like I have no control of myself now when I see you with someone because I know you don't love me anymore . . . and I hate what it's doing to me."

BEN: "I still do care for you."

HOPE PUSHES HIM AWAY.

HOPE: "No, don't try to make this fucked up situation better. I think that it's a good thing for the both of us to end it right now."

"You try to give away a keeper, or keep me cause you know you're

Ben nods and goes in to kiss Hope one last time. Hope resists at first, but then let's go because she know this will be their last time. Ben has tears streaming down his cheeks as he breaks away.

"Just scared to lose."

BEN: (whispers) "Good-bye Hope."

Ben leaves the bedroom closing the door behind him. Ben can hear the faint sound of crying as he walks down the hall and back to the party.

"And you say, "stay."

BEN: "It took me a long time to get over her, and more to forget, but I don't think I have forgotten. You're like her in a way that you're the only one other person who can get to me . . . except you bring out in me the things I try so hard to hide. Yet you welcome those things with open arms."

FELICITY: "That's what I want from you Ben. I want you to know that you can be what you are with me and that you don't have to hide because you're beautiful. You may be broken inside, but you're a person that is fully capable of love. You just don't know how to give it."

Felicity wipes a tear with her that has come down Ben's cheek. She puts her arms around his neck until Ben let's go and breaks down within her arms. Felicity looks up at the stars and wishes on one for him.

"And you say I only hear what I want to."

Next few scenes we see Felicity and Ben absolutely falling for each other.

"Stay" fades into the next song "Baby, I Love Your Way" by Big Mountain.

"Shadows grow so long before my eyes,
And they're moving across the page.
Suddenly the day turns into night,
Far away from the city."

Ben wakes up in their hotel bed to see Felicity sleeping next to him. He watches her sleep until she wakes up.

BEN: "Morning."

FELICITY: "Mmm, morning."

They look at each other for awhile, until Felicity makes a face.

FELICITY: "Eh, you have sleep in your eyes."

Ben laughs and starts tickling Felicity mercilessly until she has her back turned to him. Ben hugs Felicity from behind and we see Felicity smile.

"But don't hesitate cause your love won't wait."

Felicity and Ben are in the bathroom facing each other. Ben is combing Felicity's hair with his fingers.

"Oh baby I love your way.
Wanna tell you I love your way
Wanna be with you night and day.

Felicity and Ben are in the swimming pool. Felicity is telling a joke to Ben which he laughs at and splashes her with water in return. They both proceed to play water tag with each other in the swimming pool.

"Moon appears to shine and light the sky,
With the help of some firefly.
Wonder how they have the power to shine,
Shine, shine, shine,
I can see them under the pine."

It is evening and Felicity and Ben are walking down the street. Some of the trees are lined by white Christmasy lights. Ben is behind Felicity hugging her. Both of their hands are linked together and their feet move as if they are one. They both have flushed goofy grins on their faces. A firefly buzzes past them.

FELICITY: (looks up) "The moon is coming up."

BEN FOLLOWS FELICITY'S EYES. HE SEES THE MOON BEGINNING TO APPEAR MORE AS THE SUN GOES DOWN.

BEN: "You mean the moon is starting to show."

FELICITY: (rolls her eyes) "Exactly Sherlock."

Felicity and Ben are slow dancing to the end of "Oh Baby I Love Your Way" that is now being played in the background by the original singer Peter Frampton.

BEN: "Didn't I tell you I'd make it up to you."

FELICITY: "Yes, you did."

BEN: "And . . ."

"But don't hesitate cause your love won't wait."

FELICITY ROLLS HER EYES AND DRAGS THE SILENCE OUT A LITTLE LONGER.

FELICITY: (whiny) "Thank you Ben."

BEN: "Aww I'm touched by your gratitude."

BEN KISSES FELICITY UNTIL THEY ARE BOTH BREATHLESS.

"Oh baby I love your way.
Wanna tell you I love your way
Wanna be with you night and day.

FELICITY PULLS AWAY AND PUTS HER FOREHEAD AGAINST BEN'S

FELICITY: "This is the best vacation I've ever had."

"I can see the sunset in your eyes,
Brown and grey, and blue besides.
Clouds of stalking islands in the sun.
I wish I could buy one, out of season."

BEN SMILES WITH SUCH HAPPINESS AND KISSES FELICITY AGAIN.

"Oh baby I love your way.
Wanna tell you I love your way
Wanna be with you night and day.

SALLY: "It sounds like Ben and you have gotten closer to each other during this trip. Take to heart what the both of you say to each other and learn from it for it is one of the best things people can give to each other . . . their vulnerability. When someone gives this to you it means that they can truly be themselves around you. Never take for granted what was given. The both of you still have a long journey to go your already half way there. Take care. Love Sally."
