The Chronicles of Narnia
Below are synopses of each of the seven books in the Chronicles. If you are new to Narnia, first let me welcome you. The reviews below should help you understand some of the other pages on this site. Please understand that I am a stickler for details. The versions below are rather comprehensive and lengthy but will take considerably less time to read than the book itself. When you finish reading the synopsis of the book you choose, you will be fairly sure of what happened in that book. By no means should you omit reading a book on the basis of these synopses. You would be doing yourself a grave injustice.
If you have been a friend of Narnia for some time, I welcome you and any comments you may have concerning any aspect of this site. Enjoy!
The following list shows the books in the order of their authorship - the order in which Lewis wrote them. There is a separate order which lists the books in Narnian chronological time. I recommend that a first time reader do so in that order (Lion, Caspian, Voyage, Silver Chair, Horse, Nephew, Last Battle). The second or third time through the series, try reading in Narnian chronology.
