Darrin - brother of Dar in The Horse and His Boy. One of the men Shasta is questioned by when he informs King Lune of Rabadash's impending attack on Anvard. One of the first wave of Archenlanders to fall upon Rabadash's army in the battle of Anvard.
Destrier - Caspian's faithful horse. Caspian rides Destrier to freedom in Prince Caspian. Inadvertently, the horse gives news of Caspian's flight to Miraz when she returns to the castle without her master.
Diggle - one of several dwarfs captured by Rishda Tarkaan in The Last Battle. Cast into the Shrine of Tash, he declares that, even though the sun is shining, he cannot see for the darkness in the stable.
Donkey - one of the first Talking Beasts of Narnia. In The Magician's Nephew, was among the party which tried to determine exactly what Andrew Ketterly is.
Drinian - Captain of the Dawn Treader. Sailed to the Eastern edge of the world in The Voyage of theDawn Treader. Given the title Dawn Treader by Caspian after his return to Narnia. Rides with Rilian to the site where the Queen was murdered and sees the Green Lady who has enamored Rilian. Is nearly killed by Caspian when he tells the king that he is responsible for the Prince's disappearance.
Dryad - tree-woman who tells King Tirian that the Talking Trees of Narnia are being felled in Lantern Waste in The Last Battle. It is her words, and her death before the King's eyes, that urges Tirian into action.
Duffle - a red dwarf of Narnia who received news from Shasta that Rabadash has attacked Anvard in The Horse and His Boy.
Dufflepuds - Duffers, Monopods, Thumpers. One-legged dwarfs who were turned to their present shape by the Star/Magician Coriakin in The Voyage of theDawn Treader. The Dufflepuds, dissatisfied with their 'uglification' turn themselves invisible. The invisibility is reversed by Lucy.
Dumnus - a faun. Sent by Patterwig to meet Caspian prior to the Council on Dancing Lawn in Prince Caspian.
