Last night we got a call at 5:45 that Jaclyn's softball team had two games to play at 6 and 8 and they needed her to be there. The 6:00 game was a game to finish one that got rained out earlier in the week when we were out of town. This was the first phone call or message we had gotten. Jaclyn scrambled to get her clothes and couldn't find her second cleat. Her coach calls back and says dont worry abou the 6:00 game. Since she didn't play in the first part of the game she cant play. He calls at 5:55 and says Yes, they need her for the 6:00 game. So luckily we were already on the road at that time. He calls me again and asks where am I. We live 15 miles from the ball field and our normal farm to market road is washed away. So I tell him we are half way there about 6 minutes. I am flying down the highway back roads and ticking people off ( I am sure). We barely get there in time. Jaclyn runs up to the coach and I am behind parking the van and carrying her softball gear. I gett up there and our team is forfeiting the game with only 8 players.Jaclyn was the 8th player. The 9th player didnt make it there until 20 minutes after we got there. UGH! So we are told that she has an 8:00 game which started at 7:16. Our team won that game 4-0 against Emory. So we have an 8:00AM game Saturday morning which her Dad had to take her to because I am going to Fort Worth to my friend's birthday tea. What a crazy world we live in. Did you know that today is 7-7-07. How cool is that? Have a great weekend. I will let you know how Jaclyn's team does today.

Sounds like no fun when you gotta hurry the kids and then it doesn't do any good. We are still trying to figure out if there is going to be indoor soccer...Yeh hah!
