Wow, what a week it has been. Jaclyn has cross country track practice in the mornings from 7:00am - 8:00am so she has been going to work with me and we have been leaving an hour earlier than I need to be there for work. We spent all week mainly registaring kids, getting them lockers, getting their textbooks assigned and of course- schedule changes! It was fun to see all the kids come in. The Freshmen look so young and the Seniors I have watched grow up from being Freshmen. What is exciting is the freshmen class coming in is my daughter's friends. So I actually knew alot of them, watching them grow up in middle school.

Today, we cleaned out the garage and moved the cats out of there. The kittens were not taught the proper use of a litter box. The now have a nice hide away home on the front porch under the wooden bench seat. Free kitten anyone? Tonight, we went to Dad's house and celebrated my mom's birthday which was actually Friday. We ordered pizza, birthday cake and had homemade banana vanilla icecream. Mom made out with some really nice gifts and we enjoyed the relaxing evening together.

This week brings on the Teachers. We start out monday with the whole district meeting at the middle school cafeteria. The good thing about this is seeing everyone and getting to visit and they actually feed us breakfast and lunch. Usually it is a box lunch. We meet the new incoming staff and so on. Then it is a week of training. They love to keep us so busy that the teachers do not have time to get their rooms ready during the day. Most stay late and come in on the weekend to get their stuff unpacked and settled in. One of the perks of being a secretary is usually inservice means one day of meetings and then the rest of the week they want us answering phones and getting the office stuff done. It will be an interesting week for sure.

On a side note: I have read the Harry Potter And the Deathly Hallows. It was great. I am glad the ending went the way it did. I wont tell cause you must read it. I also finished another one of Janet Evanovich's books in the Stephanie Plum series. I now have read every single one of her books that our library carries. I have read all that I could get my hands on this summer. She is a hillarious author. I loved her crazy characters and bizzare stories. John is readying the last Harry Potter book now so the conversation in our house is very short. haha. Now that I am working and I can not access yahoo 360 from work I will probably only post on weekends in my blog. It will be a very busy September for us with church youth activities, girl scouts, cubscouts, home coming and church yard sale coming up. I will do my best to keep you updated. Have a great weekend. Ta- ta for now.
