Hey there. I am back. What a week. You think registration is hectic. Try getting 20-30 kids into classes the first few days of school. Parents and students complained they had to wait. You would think that is why we have REGISTRATION days. lol. The week was busy but went very smooth. Above is a picture of the kids the first day of school. they both had a fairly good week. I love having Jaclyn at the high school. We are having issues with getting Patrick from the Middle school to the high school everyday. The district won't let him ride the bus over even though my daughter did it the last 3 years. ( Big issue we are working on). We ended the week with our first peprally and home football game friday. We played Quilan Ford and lost big time 42- 14. We left at the half and that was the score when we left. Obviously we didn't miss much by going home early. Jaclyn had a cross country meet Saturday morning and we had to have her back at the school at 6:30am so they could catch the bus to Gladewater. The meet went well she said. She liked it better than track. She said running two miles was easy. She didn't make the top ten but she was better than the average runner.

John and I had a spur of the moment date night again last night. We got all dolled up and hopped on the motorcycle and went to visit Mr. Fierro out at Lake Fork. He is one of my co-workers who also has a motorcycle. Mr. Fierro is Jaclyn's spanish teacher and he is a good friend of mine from work. He told us of a local well known seafood restaurant on Lake Fork that was good eating. We drove about 6 miles to AJ's Restaurant. It was a buffet of all you can eat fried catfish, shrimp, fried okra, hushpuppies, salad bar, and beans. It came with three kids of cobbler and ice cream for dessert plus drink for $11.99 each. It was definately family atmosphere. We heard them sing birthday songs three times. It was busy but we were seated immediately. Great food at a good price. We will be back there with the kids. They have senior and kid prices plus they do have a menu if you want it. John and I rode home in the dark. It was a clear beautiful night. You could see the stars everywhere. The evening breeze at 60 mph was a bit chilly. Next time we will wear jackets. It was neat driving over the lake bridges at night on a motorcycle. The only suprise we had was the evening bugs and a frog that jumped at the wrong time and hit John's leg going over 50mph. I heard John yell "Ow". Hope this week is a good one. I am glad to have a three day weekend. I plan to prepare for the busy weeks ahead.

Our calendar looks like this: Sept. 8th Youth Rally at Lake Texoma ( Dallas Episcopal Youth); Sept. 15th Church Youth Parking lot sale benefiting the Youth and Girl Scouts will have a table; Sept. 21st Homecoming. I am in charge of organizing the parade and my key club is doing a dance fundraiser that night; Sept 22nd My neice Olivia's birthday party and also church ladies luncheon. Besides the above I will be starting up my girl scout meetings, key club meetings, and John his scout meetings. Jaclyn will have cross country meets every weekend as well. Lots to do. October will be calmer, I hope. :) E-mail us. Chat with you later. K

You might see the twins at the Youth Rally, but I'm not sure how the day is going to go. Alex has a choir retreat and she'll be elsewhere (can't remember where), and the twins might not be able to go, depending on the schedule for the rally.
Seems like that motorcycle is a romance machine. Don't tell my wife, or I might have to get one. :-)
