Entry for September 18, 2007

Hey there. Welcome back. I know I have been busy. The weeks are flying by and the days are just CRAZY lately. This is spirit week. Homecoming. Now that the youth yard sale is over, I am focused on the Parade and Key Club Homecoming fundraiser dance. We raise $600.00 for the Youth group by the way. Tomorrow is work/school, girl scout meeting, church and BONFIRE at 8PM. I think we will get home about 9:30pm. Hopefully! Thursday, I thought we would be home but I was wrong. I have ECW meeting at 5:30 and John has a cub scout committee meeting at 6pm. Friday we have the stadium peprally at 1:00, early release at 2:00, parade at 3:00, decorate the multipurpose room at 6:00, game at 7:30 and dance at 10:00 until 12 midnight. I hope the dance will make some money for the key club. We only get two fundraisers a year. We would like to do some neat stuff. We had 50 kids show up to our first meeting and pizza party. Now they have to pay their dues, we will see who actually stays in the key club. I have a couple of guest speakers in mind to line up to speak about leadership. I think it will be interesting.

I am trying to come up with some interesting things for my girl scouts to do tomorrow night. They are learning about Patrol groups. I am hoping they will put in more leadership skills and start doing all the planning this year for each age group. It will be interesting.

Jaclyn has began playing her favorite sport. We are in preseason Basketball. The school coach invited her to play for a 4 week (8 game league). She is playing with High School varsity players and two other freshmen against Lindale, Bullard and other teams. It is a great opportunity for her to gain experience on the court. She plays two games for the next three Mondays. It will be great seeing her and her best friend Stephanie playing Basketball again.

I will be back singing in the Holly Lake choir. I am looking forward to singing in the cantata again. It is highly rewarding for me. It is something me and my dad share together alone. I am glad we have something like this to share together. Practices start in October. I think the concert is is around December 15th.

Well, I better get some research done for tomorrow's meeting. Have a great weekend. Happy Homecoming 2007.
