Happy Weekend!!!!! Whooo hoooo. It has been a long week at school. I was sick on Monday and didn't really feel better until Thursday but still had a wicked cough. I am still coughing alittle but not much... hallajulah.
John has taken Patrick, Luke, Lauren, and Emily to Lake Texhoma to All Saint's Church Camp and Conference Center for Junior High Retreat weekend. They left yesterday at four and he called me about 10:30 to say they made it safely and were in an evening group activity. He said Patrick was in the same group as his cousin from Royce City, Michaela. He also said Alex was also there ( Another Morris cousin). I think that is so cool. Today they will eat great, walk alot and have alot of fun activities planned. I can't wait until I take the Senior High kids at the end of March. I would have gone this weekend except I am picking up 86 cases of Girl Scout cookies in about an hour in Tyler. Oh boy!!!
For those of you who have no clue what 86 cases of GS Cookies look like- It will completely fill up the back of my father's truck and probably overflow into the cab. I then have to take these 86 cases to our church where I will call all our scouts to come collect theirs!!! I am organized where they will pull up, I will hand them their order form, grab the cases they need, grab the extra boxes they need, have them sign a reciept and then be on their merry way. Then I get to bring home all the ones that didn't get taken and stack them in my living room. I will then separate Jaclyn's order and then we will individually sort out our own order for deliveries we have to make. Jaclyn and I sold 255 packages of cookies. Mostly at the school, church and few neighbors.
What will I do with the rest of my weekend? Well, Jaclyn is helping me do laundry. I cleaned the house yesterday. I will pick up a new book to read, play on our new computer, and work on my Notary course, as well as update my ECW Secretary notebook with the minutes in order.
For all those who I know personally, I am now a certified and bonded Notary through our school. I will be happy to be your notary. I will only notary those documents I recognize and only to people I personally know. If it is a friend of yours, they will need at least two sets of ID on them to verify who they are and you will need to vouch for them. There are alot of very strict rules of being a Texas Notary and I will follow everyone of them. Including fingerprinting family members. :) I take my new job seriously.
Jaclyn's got a new boyfriend. If you ever go to her my space you can see pictures of him. His name is John. Yes, another John. Matt was a great guy but his parents made him break up with Jaclyn to focus more on his grades. Apparently they were spending too much time together and Matt was too caught up into the relationship. Jaclyn however only waited a week and has moved on to a new guy. I am glad she is enjoying getting to know her friends and not getting too serious at age 14-15. She is in the beginnings of softball season at the high school and loving the sport. She is playing Short Stop. She likes it and she is pretty good. That girl can catch anything. She is working on her batting. She has a 60/40 chance of hitting the ball but when she does she has strength to back it up and can hit it way out there. I love watching her. Brings back the glory days of my youth. lol.
Patrick has found two new computer games he is caught up in. ROME total war and CIVCITY ROME. One he just got from the high school scholastic book fair. He can't wait everyday to get home and fight his sister for the computer time. He loves the strategic games. I am guessing that is definately a good thing for his young mind. Last weekend he went camping with the Boy Scouts in Tyler and it rained the entire time and was cold. He came home filthy but had some good stories. Including the one about how he got a Shiner on his right eye during a pine cone fight. Must have been some pine cone! Would have loved to see what the other guys looked like.
We haven't heard from family much. Would love to know what is going on with everyone. Well, I think I have caught up on the news with us. Write us everyone! Love, Kaye and Crew.
