Well Hey there! I know you didn't expect to hear from me so soon. haha.
John and I got our photo done as a fundraiser for the Hainesville Fire Department. I have learned to scan photos off my printer. Here it is above. Enjoy.
Our Family July 4th celebration went very well. Plenty of food, family and fun. We even invited a couple of friends over also. We ate BBQ chicken, hot dogs, and hamburgers along with some great sides and desserts. We watched the "men/boys" shoot the basketball hoops most of the afternoon with breaks in the kitchen and in the a/c. We enjoyed the three year old Blake and two year old Sam so much. They are growing up so fast! After 5:30 our friends went home and Bryan and Memaw headed back to Irving. The rest of us went to the Mineola Fireworks show at the Civic Center. That was really neat. I took a watermelon and we ate it underneath the blazing fireworks. We had great parking and blanket space. It was fun carpooling with 5 cars following me. When we got back home we did our own fireworks. The little ones stayed inside with the mamas. The men turned into big boys! They had a blast! It was Donnie, Brett, Mike, and John with Jaclyn, Patrick, Micheala, Christina, Max, Alex, and me. I was a bystander. I would much rather watch! Well, after the fireworks the Micheal clan went home it was getting late. Cathy and Jenn and their families stayed the night. We enjoyed a breakfast of cinnamon rolls and breakfast tacos. Jenn and Cathy and crew headed back to the DFW area about 11am. We sure did enjoy having the company. It has been along time.
Jaclyn got off to camp yesterday to a camp in Gary, Texas near Carthage with Stephanie's church youth group. She comes back Friday and then leaves again Sunday with the First Baptist church's Youth group. ( Her boyfriend goes to First Baptist) She is talking about singing in the choir so next year she can go on the choir trip. They went to Chicago this year. Her MYF team is in the playoffs on July 25-27 for state. Her other select high school ball team hasn't called much. I need to get ahold of her coach. Patrick and I are getting in some computer time and reading. I have read 1 Janet Evanovich book, 3 Susan Anderson books, and 7 Lori Copeland books. I go to the used books store in town and trade out and also the library which I will need to get to this week. Not much else is going on. Still haven't made it to the pool. Hoping we can go tomorrow.
Dad is recovering slowly from his surgery. He is still in alot of pain and needs prayers. He saw the surgeon yesterday and had x-rays done. Doctor said everything looked good and he could go back home. Now if we can get the man to eat something. He has lost 40lbs. He didn't need to lose any weight going in. I go by there regularly to check in on him. Patrick has been doing yard work for a neighbor and will do some stuff at Dad's house. He is trying to earn enough money to get more game pieces for his warhammer stuff.
I have been trying to download Yahoo messenger and have not been successful. I don't have AIM or AOL anymore. I am trying MSN Live now. It will take 2 hours and 30 minutes to download it says. I hate dial up with a passion! Chat with you later! Adios!
