We survived IKE...... Yeah!

Just checking in. We had such a busy week... yesterday it was a relief just to stay shut in due tot he bad weather with Hurricane Ike making it's way accross East Texas. We were blessed not to even have lost our lights. ALL is well here. I laid around all day reading The final Book 4 of a series Jaclyn got me into called the Twilight Series. I didn't even get out of my PJs. THis morning I couldnt get anyone out of bed for church so we didn't make it. I am blamming the busy week we had.

Monday Jaclyn did driving 4-6 and the class 6-8.

Tuesday Jaclyn class 6-8 and Patrick had scouts 7-8.

Wednesday Jaclyn did driving 4-6 & class 6-8.

Thursday was scouts sign up night. I got three new girl scouts and John has his same orginal 4 in cub scouts. 7-8.

Friday I had more phone calls on whether or not we still had a varsity football game and was it the same time. Plus the elementary lost a phone line so everyone was call to complain they would not answer the phone. My co-worker in the office got so sick we sent her home by lunch and I was selling tickets for the game as well as getting my pay reports done Due before the 15th of the month. I then went to get gas after school and with the scare of gas prices going up three stations had run out of gas. I went to quitman and had to wait in line for Premium. I went to the stadium to at 6 to sell tickets in the visitor window. I missed the first 3 quaters of the game but I was getting paid and got free nachos and coke. We won our first home game against Grand Saline 28-7. That makes us 3 -0 for the seaon so far. Great way to start of the year. The rain never came during the game so it turned out to be a great night. That was our week. This week hopefully we be better and less busy but I doubt it.

Monday is Jaclyn's last driver's ed class but she is also driving so hopefully not too much more of that. Tuesday Patrick and John have scouts. Wednesday I have GS at the park to bridge my girls at 5pm. Jaclyn will probably want to go to church 7-8. Thursday, at school my key club is having a pizza party. Friday another away game. Oh yeah! My co-worker Mrs. Windle will be out some this week, her daughter is having a baby. I am in the midst of planning home coming events and parade at work. Lots going on. Hope you have a good week. Kaye
