The Will of John NEATE
Dean and Chapter of Sarum - W.R.O. reference :-
  In the name of God amen. I John NEATE of Cote in the Countty of Wilts in the 
parish of Bichips Cannings Being of a parfect mind and understanding do make 
publick and declare this to be my Last Will and teastement in maner as 
following that is to say
  I giv to my grandater Susanna BULLICK a hous now in perseson of Robert 
SERGOULD.
  Also I give to my son Robert NEATE my freeland hous and orchard and garden 
and all Belonging to for his life and after his death to com to his son 
John NEATE and his aiers for Ever.
  Also I give to my Grandson John NEATE my Silver Cop after my Life.
  Also I give to my daghter Mary BULLICK my Largest Silver Spone.
  Also I give to my Grandater Elisabeth HILLIER ten pouns of Laful mony to be 
payd by my Executer when shee is twenty years of age if shee is then Living.
  Also I give to my dater Mary BULLOCK seex pounds a year to be paid half 
yearly as Long as theas now Lifes do Last to be paid By my Exceater out of my 
Estate But if shee shold die Before the now Lifes the mony shall be Evenly 
devided Amonge all Her Children for the time unexspieared.
  Also I Give to my son Robert NEATE and Mary BULLICK all my houshoud Goods and
Beding and waring apearel to Be Evenly devided between them as tennins in 
Common.
  Lastly I Give to my Son Robert NEATE which I make ful and Sole Excexeter All 
my Leaseholestate hous and Barn and outhouses and Everything thear Belonging 
And what mony I gote in hous after my disses.
April 15th 1803
  John NEATE Signed Sealed published and clared by the said Testator John NEATE
to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have subscribed 
our Names as witnesses thereto in his presence and at is request and also in 
the presence of each other.

  The Executor Robert NEATE was duly sworn before me at Devizes this 28th 
day of February in the Year of our Lord 1805, and that the whole of the effects
of the late John NEATE do not amount in value to One Hundred Pounds.

This Will was proved at Sarum on the 8th day of Apl 1811 before the Revd. Edw. 
MOARES Clk MA lawfl .Surr. of the Revd. & Worshipful the Dean and Chapter of 
Sarum And by him Admon of the goods & Chles of the deced & so forth was granted
to Mary the wife of Robt. NEATE lawfl Daur. of ye deed. & sole Extrix within 
named being first duly sworn of ye truth of ye sd. Will to perform the same & 
pay the debts & Leg. of the deed, and to make a true & perfect Inventory & 
rendr. a just Acct. when reqd. Savr. the Rights of all Persons.
  I Richard Cook SHERGOLD of Coate in the County of Wilts Gentleman Do hereby 
revoke and make void all Wills and Testaments by me formerly made and do 
declare my last Will and Testament to be as follows (that is to say)
  I Give and bequeath to my Grandson and three Grand-daughters the son and 
Daughters of my late son Richard Cook SHERGOLD Five pounds apiece of lawful 
money of the United Kingdom of England and Ireland currant in England.
  All the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chatties monies and securities
for money and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever lying and being my 
Debts Legacies and funeral expenses being thereout first paid and discharged I 
do give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary NEATE and do appoint her my said 
Daughter Mary NEATE Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament
  in Witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and Seal this Twentieth day of 
September in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eight.

by the said Testator Richard Cook SHERGOLD as and for his last Will and
Testament in the presence of us who immediately afterwards in the presence of 
the said Testator and of each other subscribed our names as Witnesses
hereto 
  at Sarum on the 8th April 1811 Mary the Wife of Robt. NEATE the lawful 
Daughter of the Anne LOCKE deceased and the sole Exeutrix above named
Richard GIDDINGS was duly sworn before us
