There is no doubt that being human is incredibly difficult and cannot be mastered in one lifetime.
- Terry Pratchett, "Thief of Time"

I hate biographies.

Good beginning. Would be horrible for an essay, maybe, but it's true here. I mean, who would actually want to know about me if they'd been through this site? Besides a potential stalker out to help me win a Darwin Award, I mean. But since you're here I guess you deserve something for your pains.

To summarize, I'm a 25 year old male human being currently residing in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. It's the northern California. Awesome place. I'm about to begin work in a restaurant again (*sighs*) but it's work and I'll save enough money to get a TESOL certificate and teach English overseas, helping spread the English virus in Korea and find out if I like teaching and travel at the same time. Well, that's the plan at least.

As for the rest of my life, I enjoy reading, writing, role playing games and walking around the city here. Hmm, that comes off like a singles ad in the paper. But I'd have to add sports, and I don't really like sports that much. But if there are any free single guys in Kelowna out there, you can always e-mail me *grins*

stories

This is just a list of some things I've read recently and my thoughts on them. Not sure if it will interest anyone else, but you never know.

Nov 5th: High Five by Janet Evanovich & Nov 6th: Hot Six by Janet Evanovich
The only two novels in her Stephanie Plum series I've read so far. While I almost never read mysteries (I have this habit of always reading the last chapter of books) I liked the novls - they were funny, quick reads, and reminded me a little of the Anita Blake novels by Larell K. Hamilton, but with A more realistic heroine and set in the "normal" world.

Nov 7th: Astro City: Life In the Big City
Someone recommended Astro City a long time ago as a good read and the library here has is. This graphic novels contained the first six issues and was just awesome .. four of the six stories were the world of super heroes from the eyes of normal people. I loved it. Read it twice already. Now I just need to find the rest, and Marvels.

Nov 7th: Divine Intervention by Ken Wharton
A fun little science fiction novel with some neat ideas about God dealing with quantum physics and a religion based on science as well as colonisation issues.

To have arrived on this earth as a product of a biological accident, only to depart through human absurdity, would be the ultimate irony.
- R. Leaky, "Origins"
