A Death

My mother died today.
I told my dad and mom
About the games we'd play
And her soothing mom-hum.

She taught me adult things,
The stuff they blushed about
And she told me smart things
And never had to shout.

She was my dear mother
And now she is broken
And I need another
Or I'll feel forsaken.

But then dad yells at me -
Won't hear a word I've said -
Mom's dead but they just see
That the computer's dead.
