Miracle & Patches
Welcome you to their very own page.

We're hoping you can tell which one is which.

A few months ago, I decided it was about time to get a cat back into the house.  There is always the typical "Free Kitten" ad in the paper or infront of the food store.  But I didn't think that a kitten would fit with our family.  I wanted to help a cat that was in need.  Whether it be one from a shelter, a home, rescue group, etc.
So, the search began.  One of the best places that I found to look is at www.petfinder.com  It is an absolutely wonderful site.  You can find an animal by breed, size, age, etc.  You can search locally, or nationally.  The site searches shelters, animal homes, some private listings and area animal rescue groups.  And almost all the animals have pictures.
Our first cat, was actually a cat named Franchesca.  She came to us from a rescue mission called "Molly's Militia".  Unfortunately, due to unknown health problems, she had to be returned.  That's when I found the classified ads on Petfinder.com.  I didn't know they had this area.  But it's actually the best part.  People so wanting to find good homes for their loved pets (most without any fees), list there.
That's where I found Miracle and Patches.  Their owners (Tracy and Goldie), are in the military (be sure to check out our page dedicated to 9/11 and the U.S. Military ), and were being stationed in Guam.  Needless to say, their loved pets, couldn't make the trip with them (and it also looked like their infant daughter just might be to allergic them).  So after a few emails and phone calls, Miracle and Patches have come to live with us.  They are wonderful, loving, playful members of our family.  Thanks Goldie!
