Lying About Lying
This example is self explanatory. On the subject of lying Kent Hovind said the following;
God knows that I want to be accurate and would never purposely tell a lie to promote my point. I may not always be right, but if I am saying it in my seminar then I don't know it to be false. [1]
The evidence this is a lie is demonstrated by the ease in which a section called "Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire" could be written.
As an example, all of Kent Hovind's Young Earth Proofs have been debunked over the years. Hovind acknowledges these debunkings exist;
It is interesting to read the ramblings of nay-sayers like Scott, Matson, Babinski, etc. as they try to answer theses evidences for a young universe. [2]
Yet even when an argument has been abandoned by other Young Earth Creationist (e.g. moon dust) the Hovind circus keeps on rolling. Hovind has even quoted from a controversial paragraph of Matson's Oort Cloud defense in his seminar [3], yet the remaining numerous debunkings by Matson (and others) have remained ignored.
There appears to be a difference between what is false and what Hovind admits to himself is false.
Liar, liar, pants on fire!
