Kent and Eric Reply
After two years Kent Hovind (and his son, Eric) has finally made a 'formal' response to this web site. Hovind and Son devoted a number of days responding to the critics via an internet radio program, Creation Science Hour. Three of those days were devoted to Analysis of Kent Hovind. Kent Hovind was under no obligation to do this, therefore I would like to thank Mr Hovind for his efforts.
The following transcripts are extracts (composed by myself) of the relevant sections of the broadcasts. Audio can be downloaded from Kent Hovind's web site.
Overall Impression
Hovind seemed to be fascinated with the occasional typing error or double negative. However, when it came to more substantive issues he seemed to avoid sections of pages or, sometimes, make comments which bore little resemblance to what was actually written.

Additional Background
Hovind makes references to an invitation he extended to me to appear on his broadcast. However, the course of events (as viewed from my location) were slightly different.
Unprompted I received an invitation from Hovind's technical assistant, Jonathon, to debate Hovind on his radio program. In response I said I would do so if we could agree on a narrow topic. I also mentioned a possible topic could be the claims I make in this web site.
Negotiations for the debate continued over the following days - times, topics, phone numbers etc.
On December 11, 2003, I open an email informing me, now after the fact, Hovind reviewed my web site on his radio program on December 10. I wrote to Jonathon a little surprised that this was supposed to be the debate as previously negotiated. Jonathon's reply claimed this was not the debate previously negotiated. This email also informed me, after the fact, that Hovind had devoted a second night to responding to my web site.
Hovind's response ultimately extended over three broadcasts. Negotiations for the debate (which supposedly hadn't occurred yet) have ceased. I have extended an offer to appear of Hovind's radio show as a follow up rebuttal. So far, Hovind hasn't accepted.
