We use the played-out terms "garage" and "indie" to vaguely slouch towards these bands' individual bethlehems, though their scope could range all over the map. Some are actually too successful to technically qualify as a "garage band", but trying to pin down accurate terminology in the new millenium is pretty much like trying to pick gnat-shit out of pepper.
