I was born and raised in Kamakura, southwest of Tokyo,Japan. When I was a kid, I liked listening to music on the radio, especially some songs sung, not in Japanese, but in weird sounding words. Those were rhythmical and made me dance.Years later I learned the language,English. My favorite band back then was the Rolling Stones and they led me to the blues world. Then I bought a harmonica and tried to pick up Little Walter licks.
I came to Toronto in 1994.I started playing at blues jams in downtown.Soon I joined some bands.Since then I have never stopped blowing my little magic box.I have been a part of Parkdale rock stars Jay Clark & The Jones, multi-talented Mike O`Grady`s celtic/rock orchestra, amazing piano man Julian Fauth`s blues combo, and also playing with many other wonderful musicians.
As you hear on this album, blues harmonica is my thing.I love harp.I also tried to add some noise with guitar and my voice.Kenmi did great electric guitar solos. He is fantastic. I coudn`t afford a real studio recording,so l did what I could do on my 8-track tape recorder, but not that bad to stay low-teck as long as you`ve got a feeling.Got some beer?.Now enjoy the music.
