On September 21st, Sara, my parents and I finally got to see Wicked: the Musical. It was so amazing! The musical was just...so awesome. We had amazing seats, could see facial expressions, all of it. The two ladies of the night were Megan and Eden, blowing us all away. After the show, Sara and I decided to "stage door" it and meet both of them. Eden never came out, but Megan did. I got there just in the nick of time with the camera (and umbrella), a minute or two before Megan came out. *cough* Megan is uh...kinda wincing and looking scared in this picture because umm... here I was trying to be all chivalrous and cover the poor woman with the umbrella (she had none and it was POURING rain), but in the process of doing so and trying to turn on the camera, I almost poked the woman's eye out. *COUGH* This would be why she looks terrified. This would also be why she ran off and pulled a Houdini - escaping other fans and running away to her car - directly after taking this picture. I wanted a picture too, but nope, Megan was gone! lol Oops. :-p But Sara got her picture, so she was happy with that...even if I did almost poke Megan Hilty's eye out dangit. :-p
*laughs* This picture really shows just how soaked we were from the rain. Sara's jacket shows it off well. She was out there by herself while I got the camera and umbrella, so the rain was on her the whole time.
Then even when I had the umbrella, I still got soaked! My arms are literally shining in this picture, lol. Stupid me didn't bring my jacket, so the back of my shirt was just...hideous. Oh...maybe that's why I had a scratchy throat and a cough the week after. LOL. I just realized it was probably from being out in the rain, oops, lol oh well, it was worth it and way fun. :)
Another picture of Sara, but this time in front of Glinda, her favorite. :)
The next night, Sara and I went to see my dearest Allie in her play, Spring Awakening. Allie was simply amazing...I knew the girl was talented, but she really showed her acting chops in this one. I was utterly traumatized hearing her speak about incest and beatings and all this stuff. I had to remind myself that this was NOT Allie...I don't need to go beat someone up...Allie is okay...breathe, Keri. LOL. Seriously, I was having issues separating the two. ;) But she did such an amazing job and the other actors/actresses did as well. That's one frickin' hardcore play, I swear.
These pictures were taken after the play was done and Allie came outside to talk to us. We also got to meet from the old Buffy board, Slayerette the ~Power~ Girl, which was cool. :) But as you can see, we were very happy to see Allie and very proud of her too. :) lol, nevermind the fact that when Allie came out, she literally tackled me. Who knew the force of this girl running and jumping on me could knock me back a good 5 feet? lol ;) Somehow I managed to keep myself up and I could even pick the girl up and swing her around a bit. It was so nice seeing Allie again -- I hadn't seen her since I'd been in California due to her being so busy and my work, so it was wonderful hanging with her even if just for a little while. :)
*laughs* And lastly, this is Allie and Sara's re-enactment of the Megan Hilty picture. The only difference is they're laughing their butts off and Allie doesn't look so terrified of me, lol. ;) Plus they may be horrified to see I actually put this one up -- but I think it's cute dangit. :-p And that is all the pictures we took from both nights, so a short update for once...amazing for me, I know. ;)
