![]() | I took all the pictures on these pages with my Olympus C3040Z digital camera. The pictures were taken with no flash (to avoid reflections), and generally in macro mode. Since the flash was not used, exposure times were necessarily longer (usually between 1/4 and 1/15 sec) and a tripod was an absolute necessity for avoiding camera shake. Camera shake was also reduced by using the camera's timed shutter release function. All the pictures were taken from outside the tank with a tripod, except for the speckled sand-dab picture (which was taken from inside the tank, looking down). |
The pictures taken in Puget sound were taken at various sites, including Richmond Beach, Titlow Beach, Alki Seacrest (cove 2), Edmonds Underwater Park, and Ed Munro Seahurst Park. For my diving pictures, I am keeping my camera in an Olympus PT-010 housing. I don't have a strobe so I am just using my UK Light Cannon with a diffuser for lighting. | ![]() |
