New Zealand issues travel advisory for all Southeast Asia
WELLINGTON, New Zealand (JP): New Zealand government has issued a travel
warning for all Southeast Asian countries, saying people are at "some risk" when they
travel there, AP reported.
Foreign Minister Phil Goff said on Wednesday that a "change of circumstances" in
the region had prompted the government to issue the warning.
"There is a heightened general and nonspecific terrorist threat in Southeast Asia," a
government website said.
The advisory said people faced "some risk" in Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor,
Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
