Epilogue

One year later

Angela and AJ were welcoming their guests as they walked inside.  They picked a very private hall for the celebration, as to not have any press interfere.  They wanted this night to be special and to have their family and friends share it with them.

The room was decorated beautifully, with turquoise and silver accents, Angela’s favorite colors.  The centerpieces were bouquets of white lilies on every table.  AJ let Angela handle all of the arrangements for the celebration, as he was busy in the studio.

They had just handled the last crowd, when Angela felt a tap on her shoulder.  She quickly turned around.

“Joey!”  She gave him a huge hug.

“Hey you,” he broke the hug and looked at her.  “You look amazing as always.”

“Better not have…” Angela looked over his shoulder and saw Tarah standing behind him.

“Too late,” Tarah smiled.  She gave Angela a hug.  “Hey girl.”

Angela smiled as Joey put his arm around Tarah.  About 7 months ago, Angela got a phone call from Tarah.  Tarah was one of the children of the first foster family Angela stayed in.  After an all-night conversation, Tarah announced that she was trying to look for Angela for 2 years and finally tracked her down, plus she was moving to Florida.  When she moved to Florida, Angela and AJ let her stay with them at their house until she became settled in.  One night, Joey stopped in the house to say hello, met Tarah, and the rest was history.  They were completely in love.

“So, let’s see that ring,” Tarah grabbed Angela’s left hand and turned to AJ.  “I can’t say that you have a bad taste in jewelry .”

“I try,” AJ smirked as Angela looked at her diamond ring.  “Had it specially made when I was in England.”

Angela led Tarah away, leaving Joey and AJ by themselves.

“She’s really happy,” Joey sighed.

“So am I,” AJ nodded.

“You better keep it that way, or else I don’t care if it’s before your wedding, or twenty years from now, I’ll kick your ass all over Orlando.”

“That’s a promise I’ll hold you to.”

“Congratulations man,” Joey held out his hand.

“Thanks,” AJ gave him a firm handshake and pulled him into a hug.  “The same goes for Tarah.  I love that girl like a sister.”

Joey nodded.  “She’s really special.  If I learned one thing, it’s to stop trying to keep someone at bay.  Screw the press, I’ll love who I want to love.”

“I know we all got a lot of shit from the press last year, but who knew we would be friends?”

“Life is strange isn’t it?”

“Strange isn’t the word man.  More like the Twilight Zone.”

Angela and Tarah walked up to them.  “You boys behaving yourself?” Angela asked.

“Who us?” Joey put his hand to his chest.

“Yeah you, don’t make me get the hose,” Tarah wiggled a finger in front of Joey’s face.

“Darlin, I’ll be a good boy tonight, promise,” Joey crossed his fingers.

“Oh, looks like everything is ready,” Angela grabbed AJ’s hand.

“We got a engagement to celebrate!” AJ yelled as he pulled Angela into a kiss.

Angela and AJ walked into the house, sitting on the couch.

“Great party huh?” Angela rested her head on AJ’s shoulder.

“The best,” AJ replied.  He took Angela’s left hand.  “Boy does that ring look good on you.”

“It does, I just can’t stop looking at,” Angela held up her hand and moved it around, making the diamonds sparkle.  “Now I can’t wait for the gold band to match.”

“Soon baby, soon.”

“I know, 6 months.  I’m glad Joey said yes to giving me away.  I thought he would feel weird about it, y’know?”

“So did I.  He’s got the biggest heart I’ve ever known.”

“Who knew you would be saying that about a member of *N Sync,” Angela laughed.

“Well, who knew that I would be marrying you?  When I was at that club, I never though my future wife would throw a drink in my face.”

Angela laughed.  “It’ll be a story to tell our kids.”

AJ put his arms around her.  “I’m so lucky to have you in my life.”

Angela sighed against his chest.  “We both are honey, we both are.”
