     I James Griffin of the State and County aforesaid do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit.

     First it is my desire that all my just debts be paid out of my estate as soon after my
decease as may be convenient.

     Second  it is my wish that my daughter Rebecca Measels have two hundred dollars to be paid her in money.

     Third  it is my will that my Mary Measels have two hundred dollars in Money.

     Fourth  It is my will that my daughter Elizabeth Brewner have two hundred dollars in money.

     Fifth  It is my will that my son Riley Griffin have two hundred dollars.

     Sixth  It is my will that my son James Griffin have two hundred dollars.

     Seventh  It is my will that my son Gilbert Griffin have two hundred dollars.

     Eighth  it is my will that  my daughter Lucinda Griffin have one feather bed and two
hundred dollars.

     Ninth  I give and devise to my wife Nancy Griffin two feather beds and all my house
hold & kitchen furniture and one hundred and fifty dollars.

     Tenth  It is my will that my son David Griffin have two hundred dollars in money.

     Eleventh  It is my will that my son Michael Griffin have two hundred dollars in money.

     Twelfth  It is my will that my son Sterling Griffin have two hundred dollars in money.

     The above specific legacies will be paid to the respective heirs above stated by my
executors herinafter to be mentioned.

     The remainder of my estate will be equally divided amongst the whole of my heirs equally share and share alike.

     For the purpose of being more fully and clearly understood, I will here explain the cause
of not mentioning the names of some of my children.  It is because I have heretofore at
different times given them property which I consider equal to the legacies herein specially
given.

     It is also my will and I hereby declare that all former gifts and grants made at any time to either of my respective heirs by me shall remain absolute and unchangeable in law or equity.

     It is my wish that all my estate which I may have at the time of my death be sold on a
credit of twelve months.  My executors giving at least thirty days notice.

     And I hereby appoint my son James Griffin Executor of this my last will and testament and he is required together with my wife Nancy Griffin to act as quardian of such of my
children as shall not be of lawful age to receive their portion.

     My daughter Clarinda Reynolds has received her full and entire share of my estate for 
which a receipt has been given therefore she will not be entitled to any portion to be
distributed after my death.

     However in the event of the death of my son James Griffin before the execution of this
will is completed and the estate entirely settled my son Gilbert Griffin will succeed him and
in the event of his death or refusal to act then and in that case my son-in-law John
Brewner is to complete the execution of this my will in the manner and form herein
expressed.

     In testimony where of I the said James Griffin do hereunto affix my hand & seal
this tenth day of April A D 1837
