| 1) Secretary General The Secretary General is the Chancellor's Aide. This person makes sure that the Chancellor is informed of all the important issues, covers the main Secretarial duties for the Chancellor, prepares the various meetings and even conducts meetings in the Chancellor's absence. |
| 2)Secretary of Resources The Secretary of Resources is responsible for making sure that the resources of the galaxy, natural and not, are being put to the best, safest, most logical use. This is a most difficult job. The use and regulation of Public/Private lands falls under this person's direction as does the regulation of the galaxies mining, and high industrial production facilities. |
| 3) Secretary of Defense The Secretary of Defense is the Commander in Chief of the Republic's Armed Forces, answerable only to the Senate and then the Chancellor. This person is charged with maintaining the peace in the galaxy. In the event that the Secretary General or Chancellor cannot carry out his/her duties of that office, the Secretary of Defense assumes those duties. |
| 4) Secretary of Commerce The Secretary of Commerce must make sure that the economic state of the Republic stays strong. The Secretary is also in charge of all treaties of embargo with other governments. This Secretary also must maintain an exceptable rate of exchange that is standard through-out the Republic. |
| 5) Secretary of Public Works The Secretary of Public Works has the responsibility of making sure that the population of the Republic is cared for, that adequate medical, educational, and financial aids are in place; that enough job opportunies exist. This Secretary must work closely with the Secretaries of Commerce, Health, and Education. |
| 6) Secretary of Education The Secretary of Education is in charge of the Republic's various Academies, Military and otherwise. This Secretary must also work with the Secretary of Public Works to maintain adequate education facilities through-out the Republic. |
| 7) Secretary of Law The Secretary of Law is the "High Law Giver" of the Republic. Any new laws, regulation, etc. that the Senate must develop are initiated by this Secretary. This Secretay advises the Chancellor on any issues that need to be governed by such rules and serves as the Final judge in all matters that deal with Planetary justice. |
| 8) Secretary of Antiquities The Secretary of Antiquities is the Historian of the Senate, therefore of the Republic. This Secretary is charged with the duty of watching over and keeping straight the history of not only the Republic, but the galaxy. This Secretary also serves as the Senate's Secretary. |
| 9) Secretary of Health The Secretary of Health is in charge of making sure that the various medical facilities of the Republic are meeting the Republic's needs; of making sure that the military has enough medical facilities; of working with the Secretary of Public works to maintain an adequate medical presence in the Republic; of insuring the people of the Republic's safety in all medical issues and delivering due punishment for malpractice and the inhumane practices of testing on non-humanoid species. |
| 10) Secretary of Treasury The Secretary of Treasury is in charge of all financial distribution within the Republic, including but not limited to salaries, branch and departmental funding, and taxes. |
| 11) Secretary of Culture The Secretary of Culture is in charge of advising all the other Secretaries, departments, judges, etc of the various cultures and religious traditions that make up the vast and varied people of the Republic to ensure no infringement of the right to express oneself according to one's customs. |
| 12) Secretary of Communication The Secretary of Communication is in charge of providing protocol droids for all meetings where beings within the Republic speak a language unknown or difficult to understand for another being to ensure no mistake in the messages being delivered. This being also ensures sufficient communications devices are in orbit around the planets needing them in order to contact or be contacted by the Republic. And this being is responsible for having updates made to all communication and translation devices used by the Republic regularly. This being must possess excellent public relations skills. |
| 13) Secretary of Intergalactic Relations The Secretary of Intergalactic Relations is in charge of meeting with all ambassador/ambassadorial parties to ensure the being's comfort and ease during their visit/stay within Republic space and provide the answers to all questions necessary--within the limits of protocol, which the Secretary of Intergalactic Relations must be well versed in. This being must also be able to relate to the beings who are representing an ally, potential ally, or neutral party . Also this being should possess excellent mediation skills. |
