De Ann's Thoughts on Gentle Mothering

What does gentle mothering mean to you?

Gentle mothiering is modeling kindness to children that they may be kind, honesty that they may be honest, sincerity that they may be sincere... Treating my children as I would expect to be treated were I the child.

Why do you feel that gentle mothering is so important?

Angry undisciplined children make an angry undisciplined world.

Why do you feel that God wants you to parent this way?

Christ has so many wonderful examples for us, one being shepherd; a shepherd who leads His sheep and gently brings back those who choose to disobey Him. In my own small human way I try to follow His divine examples.

De Ann's Testimony

God saved me out of a self-centered, wicked life on 21 February. 1988. My eyes were opened for the first time to the sin I had before accepted as normal life. God didn't just take the old man away but replaced it with meaning and purpose and a desire to please Him.
