Donna's Thoughts on Gentle Mothering

What does gentle mothering mean to you?

To be attuned to my children, to be aware of them as humans. To allow them room to mature and grow with guidance and support from me that encourage their natural curiosity and thirst for learning. To provide boundaries that give them a secure netting for their explorations and questions. To know when to expand or contract those boundaries that best suits the needs of the child.It means knowing my children on a daily basis.

Why do you feel gentle mothering is so important?

Because we all deserve respect and someone in our life that truly loves us.

Why do you feel that God wants me to parent this way?

Because I don't know everything nor am perfect and love covers a multitude of sins. :)

I was saved at a young age in a church. My dh and i Began searching for the way to walk before our first child was born. After 9 kids we still daily search him and how we should parent and live.
