Lucinda's Thoughts on Gentle Mothering

What does gentle mothering mean to you?

To me, gentle mothering means follwing the biblical standards set forth for women to have a gentle and meek spirit and transfering that spirit to our children through our behavior and parenting skills.

Why do you feel that gentle mothering is so important?

In our gentle care, our children can grow and flourish in the love of the Lord. They will have a strong base from which they can serve Him.

Why do you feel that God wants you to parent this way?

We can be an example to our children and to the world of the love shown to us by abba Father. We also show our love for our Heavenly Father through our obedience to His Word and to His Will.

Lucinda's Testimony

My testimony is nothing spectacular other than I was given the gift of eternal life. I was raised in a "socially" Christian home. We went to church every Sunday but failed to take our worship home with us. As I was a teen ager I attended a church camp and developed a closer relationship with the Lord, but nothing that stuck. Then when I was about 21 I was baptised in a church answering the call of my Lord. Sadly I fell away again. But thanks to the Lord's mercy and wisdom, my children were curious about Him. So we started praying and through the children and their blind faith I again found the Love that was missing from my life. Now all I want to do is His will. I will never get it right but I pray every day that I will be used as His servant and some how show the world about Him and His love and forgiveness, and that true happiness comes from obedience and submission.
