Rosa's Thoughts on Gentle Mothering

What does gentle mothering mean to you?

Gentle mothering means to be meek and teach with patience ( Tim. 2:24). To be gentle means obedience to God. Children are a picture of who we are to Christ. We are in total dependance to Him. Being a gentle mother is meeting our child needs and not abandoning them.

Why do you feel that gentle mothering is so important?

Gentle mothering is so important to me because it is teaching my child who God is. Undesrvingly I received this child from God and I, therefore am responsible to nurture and raise her in the admonition of the Lord.

Why do you feel that God wants you to parent this way?

God wants us to parent this way because He does. ( So being affectionatelt desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because you were dear unto us. As ye know how we have exhorted and comforted you and charged every one of you,as a father does his children. 1 Thes. 2:8,11).

Rosa's Testimony

It was a Saturday night, when I was seven years old, I was sitting at my mothers feet, asking her about my baby sister who passed away a year ago. I asked her if she went to heaven. She said yes. I told her i wanted to go to heaven and I asked her what can I do to go there. She exolaine to me the gospel and i got saved. I know i am saved because I believe that God sent His Son, jesus to die for me. I believe He died, was buried, and rose on the third day to sit on the right hand of God making intercession for me. God gave the faith to believe(Eph. 2:8-9). ( ...That I may know that I have eternal life if I believe on the name of the Son of God. 1 John 5:13).
