Pam Shriver: Martina Hingis, the number one player in the world, and a smile on her face as she walks off the court, but a bitter disappointment inside, and Kim Clijsters with a fabulous upset. Kim, you played a great match-your biggest win ever. How does it feel?
Kim: It feels great. I think I lost my temper a little bit in the second set, but I took it well in the third set.
Mary Joe Fernandez: Kim, did you really believe throughout the entire match that you could beat Martina Hingis?
Kim: Well, I mean, if you always have a chance in a tennis match-that's tennis, and Martina, she was playing well. She had an easy quarterfinal, but yeah, I've been playing well here, but I was confident. I was motivated, and anything can happen in tennis.
PS: Well Kim, on the break points, both of you were very good on converting. Martina Hingis converted 4 of five times, but you were even better. 7 of 8 times when you held break points, you broke. Do you see that as one of the keys of the match?
Kim: Yeah, probably, I mean, I returned well. Especially in the first and the third set. In the third set I returned really well. I think so, yeah.
MJF: Kim, you're gonna play your biggest final yet in your young career. It's gonna be against one of the Williams sisters. Any preference?
Kim: No, I don't care. (Giggles)
PS: Well, Lleyton's out on the court right now, and he's up easily in the first set. In fact, he may have already won the first set-you gonna take a little break and watch him finish his match?
Kim: Yeah, well, I'll have a rest first, and if I've got time, I'll go watch him.
PS: Well Kim, well done. You just played such a great terrific match. Good luck in the finals.
Kim: Thank you very much. Thank you!
