KIM TO PLAY FEDERATION CUP!

Kim has her racket out, her shoes tied, and already a team to side with for Federation Cup. She will be playing the tournament which begins on April 24th. The surprise is Clijsters won't be playing for Belgian, but she'll be on the Russian team! In an online chat at the Tennis Masters Series' official website, the young Belgian clarified that she won't be supporting the likes of Dominique Van Roost, Sabine Appelmans, and Justine Henin; she's much looking forward to playing for Russia and said they "have a good team and good players." Some of those possible good players may very well be glamour goddess Anna Kournikova, newly-wed Elena Likhotseva, and fellow rising star Elena Dementieva. That does sound like a great team, but with Clijsters it's fantastic! Fed Cup, the female equivalent of the ATP's Davis Cup is an annual tournament where countries compete with other countries for the title.
