Beaches South of Quobba Point
The first time that we went fishing here was just south of Black Rock. It was just before dark and nothing was biting. So we waited for a while, and then waited a bit more, until finally Andy gets a bite. A big bite. 45 minutes later he reels in the Bronze Whaler shown in photo opposite. Trust me, when it's this big, throw it back!! They taste grose when they're big. The taste may be because it struggled for  so long that it had to much nitrogenous waste build-up in the meat.
Next time we returned we moved further down the beach and found that the best time to fish is just before the sun sets. Plenty of Golden Trevally to be had at this time. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of them. Tasted good though...
Bronze whaler
Andy's Bronze Whaler.
Land Cruiser
This slope was much steeper than the photo makes out!! Paul managed to get the jackaroo quite airbone going up in the oposite direction.
Happy camper
Happy fisherman...
Fishy!
...and his Trevelly. (Not sure what type, giant i think).
Lure chasing
There's a little blob in the water in this photo which is Paul swimming out to retrieve his lure from the rocks. I guess he was sick of losing them. The next day he tried the same thing for Adam's lure. Then he saw the shark in the waves that must have been attracted by his activity!!
Awwwwwwwwww!
Put this one in for mum!!
Crab
