LITTLE FAIRY

Alone

by Kimber Giedd

Tread alone the narrow line
Fact and fantasy entwine
Which do you like or do you chose
And with which do you win or lose
Search inside your tangled mind
It's up to you to decide

Deep dark pit
Waiting to hit
Upon the lonely floor

Fall in fast
Pain won't last
Inside the frozen core

Fall inside
Painless glide
Always wanting more

Brown to black
Less to lack
Nothing left to explore

Reaching out
Feeling pain
Pulling back
Nothing to gain
Floating lost
Touching down
Trouble fitting
Thorny crown.

Silence
Like the pause before the scream
Death
Like falling in a dream
Fright
Like no one has ever known
Cold
Like all has turned to stone
Lost
Like all has blown apart
Hate
Like love without a heart
