If I Could Fly
by Kimber Giedd
If I could fly, where would I go?
To the mountains above or valleys below.
Would I wonder and marvel at powers of fligh
Or feel it a chore and take no delight?
Would I fly in the hours when all is bright
Returning to home when all turns to night.
Or soar in the darkness with only the moon
And still my wings when morning glorys bloom.
But when all is said and all stories told
Although I may dream of my wings of gold
I think I will keep my feet on the ground
For it is there that my dreams are to be found
