Another food post!
Food in Japan are definitely on the light side. But after such heavy tastes of Chinese food in NY, I welcome the more subtle tastes of Japanese cuisine. Maybe its an excuse since the food I make are on the bland side. ^^;
Meat with cheese, lettace and egg. My usual evening fare at home. ^.^
When I went out to eat with my co-worker and her son, they ordered soba tempura.
I ordered ebi tempura with udon. ^-^
I went to the same co-worker's family yakitori restaurant in Shinjuku. My friend's father is cooking my snack. ^.^
Yakisoba pan! Yum yum!
Only in McD's in Japan: Ebi filet!
Ichigo McFlurry! They also have Oreo McFlurry, but I want to be special. There is also little cake pieces inside. Oishikoto!
Oujisan no caki! King's cake...but in French. This is what French people eat for New Years. They usually have a figurine inside a large pie. Then whoever gets the figurine in their piece becomes the King or Queen. lol I came to Japan and learned so much about French things. Of course, my apartment mate bought this at PAUL, a French bakery in Roppongi. ^.^
