there are certain places that have more paranormal activity than others, so here are some places you can go to find some paranormal activity...
Cemeteries: cemetaries tend to have a lot of paranormal activity. it doesn't matter the age, but the older they are the more of a chance you will have of finding a restless spirits.
Schools: schools, and the former sites of schools could possibly have phsychic energy built up, and imprints of emotional events that have transpired there. this seems to attract spirits becuse of all of the super charged energy.
Battlefields: battlefields are a good place to look for supernatural activity simply because of the history behind them. many violent deaths have taken place here, and can conduct a large amount of energy. this is a great spot for residual hauntings.
Churches: there is always a lot of history of the faithful returning to the church they worshiped at. they could possibly be looking for salvation they were promised and cannot find. also, they have a lot of emotional energy trapped there from left behind from weddings, funerals, etc.
Hotels/Motels/Boarding houses: many highly emotional events can take place in these rooms, and they have a lot of traffic of people in and out of them.
Hisoric Locations: with the age and hisory of the locations they are open to a lot of paranormal activity. they are a great place to start ghost hunting because they are usually open to the public.
Want to hunt/investigate some ghostly activity? here is how to do it safely, and possibly get some eerie results.

What to bring:
-camera: it doesn't have to be anything fancy, but at least 400 speed. 800 speed film gets the best results outside. black and white film is also something good to try. when you go to get your pictures developed, tell them you want all the pictures developed so that you are sure to get the pictures they think are "bad" ones.
-flashlight: with spare batteries: it's common sense to bring a flashlight, and you should definitely bring spare batteries because spirit activity often runs batteries down faster.
-first aid kit: just in the case of any accidents.
-notebook w/ pens: you should write down EVERYTHING that happens for documentation. even if you sneeze write it down. something as small as a sneeze can be interpreted as something supernatural to one of your fellow ghost hunting members.

step by step ghost hunting procedures

1.
have everyone meet as a group and discuss the layout plan, and who will be working what tool etc.
2. enter the site and either privately or as a group say a quick 10 sec blessing or protection, it's better to be safe than sorry and a small blessing can protect you from evil spirits.
3. walk around the area a bit to get a feel for the location, and let the ghost get used to your precense. log your start time and the weather conditions.
4. now you can open all of your film and tapes and load all of your cameras and recorders. take note of any unusual happenings like meter and temperature readings, visual sightings and strange sounds.
5. try to give everyone the opportunity to stake out the whole area and be everywhere. this keeps everyone at attention.
6. when you are done have everyone meet in one location and ask the human spirits not to follow you home, and to remain here. tell the others they must remain here in the name of god. again this takes about 4 seconds, and can save you a lot of trouble in the future. again these prayers are your own decision, and if it doesn't change any outcome you wasted 14 seconds of your time, but it could save you a lot of trouble down the road.
