Westlife single makes No. 4
Westlife were licking their wounds this morning after their comeback single Hey Whatever limped into the chart at a disappointing No. 4.
To most pop acts, a Top Five placing is nothing to be sneezed at, but you have to remember that Westlife are the band who had a massive run of chartoppers such as Swear It Again, If I Let You Go and Uptown Girl.
This tune, the first to be plucked from their upcoming fourth album, was tipped to blow all the competition out of the water but has had to make do resting behind The Black Eyed Peas, Rachel Stevens and Dido, who has been in the Top Three for the past fortnight.
Speaking this month the Westlife boys suggested that their new material could break them.
"The new album is really important to us," Shane Filan told CD:UK magazine. "It's gonna make or break us. We know people think of us as five boys who sit on stools and sing ballads so we wanted to be really involved on this album."
