This week's Retro-Review:
Opens with The Rockers demanding Fuji to leave the ring area, and if he doesn't, they'll go to the dressing room, and return with some justice. Enter their special "enforcer" Andre The Giant. Pretty good match. Great pace, fun to watch. Did anyone else thoroughly enjoy Piper + McMahon on commentary? Anyways... Lots of good double-team manuvers. Andre manhandles Fuji, Rockers hit the Double Top Rope FistDrop, get the 1-2-3. Entertaining.--3/5
Well, as anyone would probably suspect, this match wasn't very entertaining, although it was actually better than I initially thought it would be. Power wrestling at its finest(or not so finest). Anyways, Neidhart gets the duece.--1.5/5
Reasonably decent match here. Not Terrible, but at the same time, nothing special. Basic old school feeling match.--2/5
Well, obviously if Dibiase, and Piper are duking it out, it's not going to be bad. This was no exception. Piper sells his hurt knee really, really well. Disqualification victory for Dibiase as Piper swings his crutch like a maniac....--2.5/5
Kind of a slow match, but Jake makes it good. This one was just kind of a "revenge" match from the whole "smashed snake" storyline. It was ok, but nothing special. Jake wins via countout after scaring 'Quake out of the ring with the new snake on the block, LUCIFER!--2/5
THE REASON TO WATCH THIS TAPE! This match kicked alot of ass. Hennig is great, though at the time he was in a considerable amount of pain. Like the soldier he was though, he put over Shawn Michaels and made the WWE realize that he was ready to be on his own. Good stuff, Perfect hits the Perfect Plex, Bossman breaks the pin, give Hennig the DQ win-- 4/5
Really not a good match. Nagasaki wins. Hacksaw goes nuts with 2x4 blah blah blah....-- 1/5
Ultimate Warrior + Hulk Hogan vs. Undertaker, Gen. Adnan, Sgt. Slaughter.
Pretty decent. Entertaining, and that's what matters. Great vintage 'Taker here. Warrior is still a coked up maniac(what's new), but yeah good match nonetheless.-- 3/5
Well, I suppose by this point I guess I should give a reccomendation. If you're not a serious wrestling fan, don't watch this one. If you want to see vintage Shawn Michaels get put over by one of the best wrestlers who EVER LIVED(RIP CURT!!!!) then watch it- it won't disappoint in that area. Again, if you're a serious wrestling fan, pick this one up, add it to the collection. If not, meh, find something more current.
