Mexican Black Kingsnake
LAMPROPELTIS GETULA NIGRITUS
COLORATION: Solid black with a few having small white or yellow specks.Juveniles almost always have speckling that disappears as it grows.
RANGE:Southern Arizona and north western Mexico.
NATURAL HABITAT:Deserts, dry woods, and over grown fields.
SIZE AND LONGETIVITY:Average length is around 42" with some growing well over 4 foot. Mexican Blacks can live around 15 years or longer.
NATURAL PREY:Eggs, rodents, snakes(including venomous specie), birds
