COLORATION: They will have tan, or a medium to dark brown ground color. With 50 or fewer darker brown or a mahogony red blotches, with black outlining down the back.THey also have smaller blotches down their sides Adults cloration will normally fade to an almost solid brown, with the pattern barely noticable. |
RANGE: Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolina,Tennessee, Georgia, Louisiana, Northern Florida, and Alabama. |
NATURAL HABITAT: Woodland, fields. They're a burrowing snake, and rarely seen except for at night. |
SIZE AND LONGETIVITY: They can grow to around 4 feet long, but average about 36-42 inches. Mole kingsnake usually live about 15 years. |
