Coloration:The coloration of a Scarlet kingsnake is red,black,and yellow.The same as a coral snake but in a different order.A popular poem to be able to tell the two apart is Red on Yellow kills a fellow, Red on Black venom lack.
Range:Florida,North and South Carolina,Virginia.West to the Mississippi River.
Natural Habitat:Coastal plains,pine woodlands,grassy fields.
Size and Longetivity:
Scarlet kingsnakes are the smallest of the kingsnake specie averaging between 14 and 20 inches with the record being 27 inches.
Natural Prey:
Small baby mice,small lizards and amphibians,small snakes,worms and insects.
