This sold on ebay for $730.00!! I almost fell out of my chair when I saw the winning bid. It's definitely an asset to any collection, but at that price. What do you think? The ad read like this..."KING'S CROWN RARE banana stand by Tiffin Glass Co. This is perhaps one of the most unusual items in "King's Crown" we have ever encountered. Clear, stained with cranberry, the form was hand-fashioned from the footed cake stand. It is 13 3/4 inches long and approximately 9 1/4 inches high. It is interesting that this form was neither listed nor illustrated in the company's general catalogues. This item was purchased from B. Altman & Co., New York City as a "special order item". According to the family, it took approximately 12 weeks from special-order to delivery. The banana stand is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks or nicks. The cranberry is also clean and bright with a few minimal scratches."
