Regina Pats

Hey peeps! This is my favourite hockey team  in the whole wide world.  That is besides team Canada.  The Regina Pats are the oldest major junior
hockey franchise in existence, beginning in 1917.  They
were named after Princess Patricia, and were called the Regina
"Patricias" until 1923.  Cool hey?!?  Well, only kinda.  :)

< To the left here is a picture of Matt Hubbauer.  A 20-year old center who is my absolute favourite player on the team.  He sports the number 21, but was unfortunately unable to play the first half of the season due to a growth in his sinuses that required surgery.

Over here to the right is a photo of Chris Shlenker, the Regina Pats star defenseman, and our third captain of the season.  Chris will be with the Pats for one more year, but head coach Bob Lowes feels that number 24 has the best attitude and is by far the most improved player! He even went to the under 18 nationals to play for team Canada in Europe last year!                      >

Now, don't you think it would be kinda cool to sit next to one of these peoples?  Especially a nice lookin' one that's only a few years older than you?  Well, I sure did, and believe me, it was a lot of fun.  I, along with my friend *Jacob, had the privilege of sitting next to 17 year old left wing Daniel Waschuck from Edmonton Alberta.  He's a really nice guy, and I hope he comes back for the Pats next year!

Here is Daniel's team pic.  He is really a lot cuter in person :)
