Volume 1 - Death In A Black Arm
Track 3 - [Smith]
Akutabai and John continue with their search for the
zombie powder. John learns for the first time that Akutabai has a
partner. Just then, the bus they are on is attacked by thugs lead
by Kuang Jonathan Bacley who announces that the "search for
the ring party" is on. Kuang demands that all passengers
leave all their rings behind and demands for the ring of the dead
… He sees Akutabai's black arm and recognises him. Akutabai
demands that the thugs hand over their ring of the dead and a
fight breaks out. Suddenly a gunman appears from behind and
shoots Akutabai in his left shoulder. They fight and John is
surprised to see that the gunman is an even match for Akutabai.
He is captured by Kuang and with him as hostage, Akutabai is
forced to surrender. Their ring is taken and the duo are thrown
into jail. John is worried but Akutabai seems unfazed. Just then,
the gunman arrives and asks the gangster in charge of guarding
the prisoners where he should keep the ring taken off Akutabai.
After learning where the thugs keep their other ring, the gunman
kills the gangster. He aims the gun at our 2 friends saying,
"it's time to go guys".
Track 4 - shakin'
edges & smoking barrels
John closes his eyes, preparing for the inevitable.
Shots fire out and he is surprised to find that the prison bars
and shackles have been shot away. The gunman grins and urges them
to hurry out and follow him. To John's astonishment, the gunman
is CT Smith, Akutabai's partner. The noise brings on more thugs
and CT just shoots them. He hands Akutabai his sword and they
decide to mess up the gang's headquarters. Just as a thug is
about to shoot John, CT fires a shot without even looking back.
In the meanwhile, we see a hooded figure torturing the rest of the captured passengers. Kuang runs to him saying that Akutabai has escaped from the prison. Without warning, the hooded figure cuts Kuang into 2!
Track 5 - face
behind the mask
The trio are about to leave the prison when John hears
cries for help. He runs to the torture room where we see a child
in a hood being chained as he begs the thugs not to hurt his
sister. The girl faints from the torture and the thugs turn on
the child. Just then John arrives and bashes the thugs. He
rescues the little boy who proceeds to ask the trio for help to
save his sister. Akutabai places the girl on his shoulder and
prepares to leave, but the boy suddenly whips out a sword and
attacks Akutabai from the back. To his surprise, Akutabai is
ready for the attack and blocks the sword with his armored hand.
The boy turns out to be the ringleader of all the thugs, Ranewater Calder. A fight breaks out, but Akutabai easily subdues Calder.
Track 6 - Deceiving

Just then, the child breaks out crying and Akutabai
tells him to cut out the act. Taking advantage of the lull,
Calder attacks Akutabai from the side using his most powerful
attack, the fire rocket slash. John is shocked to see that
Akutabai is badly injured. He begs CT to aid Akutabai but CT says
that there is no need. He tells John to calm down and points out
that from the start, Calder has been addressing Akutabai and John
as "kids". He realises that Calder relies on drugs to
maintain an artificial youth and that he is actually an old man.
Calder admits to it and says he needs the zombie powder to preserve his youth forever. At this point, CT points out that Akutabai has only been fighting Calder with his left hand. On realising his opponent is not a child, Akutabai says that there is no reason to hold back.
Track 7 -
BLACKFIRED
Calder continues his fight with Akutabai but is
horrified to realise Akutabai is now faster, stronger and able to
block all his blows including his fire rocket slash. Akutabai
points out that Calder has only learnt the basics but has not
mastered the fire rocket slash. Taking off his coat, Akutabai
reveals to Calder the tattoo of the one who has mastered the
skill. CT explains to John that the fire rocket slash is a very
difficult but devastating move that takes about 32 years to
master. Akutabai had however, mastered the skill in but 4 years.
Black flames emit from Akutabai, a sign of the true master of the skill. Calder tries to escape but is slashed into 2 by Akutabai.
