As always, please verify any and all information on any website.  Always obtain the original documents where you can.  Any information posted on my pages, unless otherwise stated, are my research.  As far as I can tell, there are only a few people who stem from my line from Samuel Deaver.  If you have any questions, additions or corrections, please feel free to contact me.

There are many genealogical sites that claim that the Samuel DEAVER who married Cloha JARVIS in Rowan County in 1820 was the same Samuel DEAVER who married Susannah HAUSER.  I dispute this because of documents showing where the other Samuel DEAVER who married Susannah HAUSER is the brother of Joshua and Amos Weaver.  There were at least 3 Samuel DEAVERS in Rowan County between 1800 and 1820.  The first is the above Samuel DEAVER who married Elizabeth FARMER.

The second Samuel DEAVER was his son, born in 1789 in Rowan County and died in 1820.  He had a wife and 2 children by then.  The 1820 census for Rowan County shows only one SAMUEL DEAVER who is single.  This cannot be the same man because our Samuel DEAVER is dead.  This third SAMUEL DEAVER is the one who married the widow of Lovett JARVIS, CLOHA, the next year  (1821).  Susannah Hauser Deaver and Samuel DEAVER's children, Martha B., and Mary "Polly" were awarded to Jacob HAUSER and then Josiah HAUSER between the years 1820 and 1824 for guardianship.  Jacob was Susannah's father and Josiah was her half brother.  This comes from probate documents in Rowan County for these years.

For further conclusive proof, Elizabeth FARMER's son, Amos WEAVER had court papers naming his two brothers, Joshua and Samuel DEAVER.  We have tied Samuel DEAVER and Elizabeth FARMER to Joshua and Samuel DEAVER (2nd), because of these court papers.
