Character's I long to play!
The
following characters are ones, I'd give anything to play!! I adore all of the
following characters to pieces and have even played some of them before!

My Fair Lady
This is my All time favorite character. This is the one that I
would give my entire heart and soul to play! I absolutely adore Eliza Doolitle.
There has not been another role that has even come close to the dream of playing
this one. I mean, there are so many lovely songs, of hope and change. And I like
the idea of the cockney and the upper crust English being mixed in to one part!
:)
"Oh so loverly, sittin abso-bloomin-lutely still...I
would never budge till spring, crept over me window sill!"

Sunset Boulevard
With a character like Norma
Desmond, who wouldn't want to act? I'd have to say she's one of my favorite
character's of all time! I adore the way she can use her eyes and face when
she's talking. "We didn't need words in those days, her had faces!".
Ok, ok so that's Gloria Swanson that did all of that. But still, if I had a
chance to play her, I just know I could do it as well. Well maybe not as
well...but I'd try!
"Ok Mr. Demille...I'm
ready for my close up..."

Funny Girl and Funny Lady
I'd love to play Miss Fanny
Brice! I think that would be absolutally lovely! I know that Barbra Streisand
probably does it the best but what can ya do? Well you can just not want to do
the part, but then that wouldn't be good either, because who could resist
singing the song "I'm the greatest star..."!!
"Hello Gorgeous..."
Annie
Miss Hannigan! Ahhh the
lovely Miss Hannigan! The owner of the orphanage. I've had the pleasure of
playing this in a recital for my performing arts academy. I LOVE THIS WOMAN! She
is so fun to play, and so easy... if you enjoy the character, you can do the
part. It's simple as that! And I love this character a lot! I like to fall
around the stage in a drunken haze and to scream at little children, and pick
them up by their overalls! :)
"Someday I'll step on
their freckles! Some day I'll straighten their curls!"

Yentl
I find this character to be
a very dramatic one. She leads such a different lifestyle. It's rough, but it's
not insanely tough. I like how she deals with situations and her morals. I also
love the fact that she is so close her her father, "Papa, can you hear me?
Papa can you see me? Papa can you find me in the night? Can you hear me praying,
any word I'm saying...even though the night is filled with voices,". The
music is also very beautiful. But now I only have one more problem. Can I pass
for being Jewish?

Cabaret
I would love to be the
Emcee in Cabaret. I went to see it live and it was just excellent! I love the
character, even though he is perverted and very blunt...not to mention a man. I
especially like all of his songs. I did find the Broadway Show to be a lot more
hard hitting then the movie. In the Broadway show, the emcee turns to say
"even the orchestra is beautiful," and the orchestra is not there.
They've been taken away by the Germans. It's really sad.
"But if you could see
her through my eyes.... she wouldn't look Jewish at all..."

Victor Victoria
This would be such a
splendid role to play because of both the comedic and serious moments. I think
the music is lovely and would be honored to sing any of it! *Especially
"Living in the Shadows" and "Almost a love song"*. You also
get the chance to play such a diverse and completely "out of the
ordinary" role, A woman pretending to be a man, pretending to be a woman!
"Victoria what a
Victor you are!"
