Oracle
Oracle
To you,
the One who reads the roads of time
etched into the palms of my hands,
and traces the astral insignias imparted
to my skin.
To you,
who with a smooth and warming touch
parts the white veil enshrouding the world;
piercing directly into man’s heart.
To you,
possessed of an ageless grace,
who has lived a cascade of lives
retaining intact the centre.
To You,
patiently working the mystic nature
of the earth like cool dark clay
in a potter’s hands.
Through touch, and sight, and intuition
you mute the arbitrary divisions of time,
collapsing the past and future into
the singularly present moment.
In this instant you once again
transcend the finite limits
set upon mortal flesh;
all lays bare before your
ubiquitous sight.
To You:
my journey has been completed;
my sojourn still continues;
my travels have yet to begin…
Diviner, Dream-seer, Oracle
Through my hand you spied
the heavy fault of my heart,
a deep seated jealousy.
But you amongst all living beings
brought that fault to light within me,
salted the unnoticed wound,
incensed the dozing panther.
Yes, i am madly jealous!!!
Of the sun and moon
who prize the privilege
to see you each waking day.
Jealous of the wind
sensuously caressing
your lips,
an exquisitely parted rose.
Jealous of the bed which
cradles you at night,
And jealous of the clothes
which wrap you in such a tight
embrace.
Oh to be your shadow,
so that i may follow close
to your footsteps all the days
of my life.
