~WELCOME~

My wife and I are active members of the Great Lakes chapter of the MVPA. Our organization is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of vehicles from all branches of the Armed Services. All of our vehicles are in working condition and are played with regularly.
Please visit my links page and check out some of our other members pages.

All vehicles are privately owned and maintained. We are NOT affiliated with any branch of any government or militia.

2002

Well, last year turned out to be quite an eventful one. With all the parades, small "shows" we were invited to, and regular club activities we didn't have much time for anything else.

The best parade we attended was Richmond's Good Ol' Days Festival, there were many privately owned military vehicles there. Humvee's, Jeeps, my Deuce, a couple of Ferrets, Mules, quite a sight!

The smallest show we attended was for the Michigan Military Modelling Society (MMMS) in Livonia. We were the only full size vehicles there!

The State Fair was a disappointment last year, only my two vehicles and Jeff's Ferret (if you don't count the Guard's vehicles). We really need more of you to come to this one. There were many veteran's but not many vehicles.

I had the pleasure of helping Jason Hamilton with the making of a WWII documentary for the Oakland County Schools: New Media Department. I hear it turned out rather well, even though I'm still waiting for my copy of the program.

We want to thank everyone that invited us to participate in their shows and parades. We had a great time at each and every one of them, and we look forward to seeing you again this year.

Please go and check out the Shows page for pictures from past events. My wife is finally starting to get them posted.

Anybody interested in joining our club can use the form on the form page to join. Or feel free to send me an email and I will mail you a application. You can join either the National or Great Lakes or both if you're so inclined. We know you're out there, why not make your hobby count for something?

If you have any questions about where to get something or how to do something, check out my Rat's FAQ page. If it's not posted there then write me and I'll see what I can do to answer your questions.
