"A Thanks To My Savior"

A shadow is cast upon me,
And I can’t see your face,
You wrap your loving arms around me,
I feel your warm and gentle embrace.
I retrace the footsteps from whence I came,
And understand the knowledge,
That is driving me insane.
If only someone listens,
If one person hears,
Maybe I’ll stop crying,
These broken hearted tears.
I feel your arms around me,
And hear your encouraging words.
I turn to face you,
My thoughts have reoccurred.
I remember your loving whisper,
That spoke to me so long.
A gentle cry for mercy,
And all my fears are gone.
Thank you for the love,
The birth and the death,
Even better the resurrection,
Of a savior I thought dead.
